'Open Country’ is het vierde album van William White. Het nieuwe album markeert de tienjarige succesvolle DIY carrière van de in Barbados geboren zanger. Hij zette in thuisland Zwitserland de muziekwereld op zijn kop door, zonder de hulp van een label, met alle drie zijn albums in de Top 10 van de Album Top 100 te belanden.

Music rights management company BMG has announced it has signed a binding agreement to acquire Sanctuary Records from Universal Music.
The proposed sale, which is subject to regulatory approval by the European Commission (EC), forms part of a series of divestments mandated by the EC following Universal's purchase of EMI Records.
