The French pop song ‘1 2 3’ by Dutch vintage pop band Donna Blue is featured in American series ‘SMILF’ on Showtime. The song is played in Episode 4 of the second season of the Golden Globe nominated series, called ‘So Maybe I Look Feminine’. During the episode main character Bridgitte (Frankie Shaw) meets Kevin Bacon, played by himself, while attending a luxurious day at a polo match. All happening while Donna Blue’s ‘1 2 3’ is playing in the background.

SMILF is an American comedy television series starring, created, written, and directed by Frankie Shaw. It is based on her Sundance winning short film of the same title. The series premiered in 2017 on Showtime.

The creative duo behind Donna Blue, each other's muse, lover and band member, plays sultry indie pop under the influence of sixties yé yé, Lynch movies and old Hollywood romance. Recently they released their newest single ‘Get Away’. While ‘1 2 3’, a cheeky critique on the lack of passion in an affair, was released late last year.

Donna Blue will play the following shows:

25 Apr - An Evening With Donna Blue at Cinetol, Amsterdam (NL)
04 May - Here Comes The Summer, Vlieland (NL)
