Hotel California van de Eagles (1976) is door luisteraars van Radio 2 uitgeroepen tot beste album ooit gemaakt. Déjà Vu (1970) van Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young staat op de tweede plaats van de lijst met mooiste albums. Rumours (1977) van Fleetwood Mac bezet de derde plaats.
De Radio 2 Album Top 100 wordt uitgezonden op maandag 16 mei 2e Pinksterdag van 9.00 tot 18.00 uur.
De uitzending begint om 09.00 uur met Daniel Dekker. Frits Spits zal hem komen aflossen om 12.00 uur en hij geeft op zijn beurt om 15.00 uur het stokje over aan Hans Schiffers. De nummer 1 van de lijst zal om iets voor 18.00 uur te horen zijn.
